Return to angling for some after Covid 19 Lockdown

The angling ban in the UK has been lifted in England and Northern Ireland, leaving Scotland and Wales still in heavy lock-down, which has divided the nation!

The angling ban in the UK has been lifted in England and Northern Ireland, leaving Scotland and Wales still in heavy lockdown, which as divided the nation! Combine this with the closed river season and angling has been tough on our small islands. However, Robbie Northman has found a few Bass just off the Norfolk’s east coast and has been putting the Seekers to good use banking a few of the migratory shoals.

Whilst Savage Gear pro and Northern Ireland predator guild Simon Gibson has been taking advantage of the lack of previous angling pressure by catching over 40 pike in 2 days, with the 4D River Roach proving irresistible! Simon has been angling from his boat on the colossal Lough Erne, which measures over 64km long, so staying mobile is the key! Whereas Robbie has been fishing from the shore and using the structure of rocks and estuaries to his advantage.

The hope is that Scotland and Wales will follow suit soon and allow angling to unite the UK once again, when it is deemed safe.
