126cm pike on the Herring Shad
03.03.2015
This insane 126 cm pike was caught by the Aspius pro fishing team in Poland. The 25 cm Herring Shad proves as a winner again and again for the really big pike.

The monster fish was released immediately after this picture was taken, and the weight remains unknown.

120cm+ Pike
23.02.2015
What a BEAST! This massive 120cm+ pike was caught this weekend by Daniel Abeln when he headed out with German Savage Gear consultant, Christian Wieneke.

The fish was caught on a 25cm Herring Shad in the Firetiger colour. The robust fish put up a fiery-tempered fight, but in the end it had to surrender. It was measured, photographed and quickly released. And it ended up being one out of three 110cm+ pike in the boat that day. Impressive!

Another Biggie for Roy Vanstreels
16.02.2015
BIG Zander for our Belgian consultant Roy Vanstreels! The small Savage Gear Pro 4play Shad in the fluo yellow/white pattern and a full moon was a deadly combo!

The rod and reel used were the SG Custom rod 7-23gr and the Okuma Europe Helios Gold with HD4 braid.

Wading for Pike
10.02.2015
This is how men do it! Ant Glascoe, our amazing UK consultant, recently went wading in close to freezing temperatures in order to adjust to lethargic pike. He went in using smaller lures such as the 4Play Pro shads - and wading waist deep, he was able to cast the lure along undercut banks, sunken trees and the like.

The trick was to fish the lures ultra-slow with enticing micro-movements.

A Change of Tactics
26.01.2015
Here's the latest from Christian 'The Joker' Møller:

"It was a really tough day on the water, and for the first many hours I didn't have a single strike. I therefore decided to change tactics. In stead of trolling the big rubber shads - 3D Real Eels, 3D Trouts etc, I switched to smaller lures and started trolling at high speeds. It would prove to be a good decision. Not long after, a six kilo fish struck, and the day ended with six fish - including this 10.7kilo fish. It was caught on a 4Play Lowrider".

Cold Italian Winter Pike
19.01.2015
Here's a real winter beast from Italy caught by predator fisherman Angelo Corni. The fish was caught on our XLNT Butch Light 6'9 40/100g rod. It was instrumental in setting the hook, since the pike was very subtle in taking the lure.

Big Shads for Big Zander
12.01.2015
Belgium predator expert, Christophe Depouille, doesn't stay in doors just because it's gnarly cold out there. Recently he was out targeting zander from his boat, and he found the rather bulky fluo-yellow/green 18cm Herring Shad to be just the right weapon of choice.

Fished slowly over the bottom on a light jig head, this softlure proved to be too big of a temptation for the zanders.

New Year Zander
05.01.2015
The first outing in 2015 produced some crazy zander action for French predator expert, Denis Cuorot. He hooked into several big fish including this 90+ cm beast! The ever-effective 4Play Shad 8,5cm in Green Silver and a variety of Cannibal Shads were the key baits on this hectic day!

Happy New Year everyone. We look forward to an eventful year with lots more Savage products and catches.
